The Jones Cove area of Sevier County, TN appeals to those who enjoy seclusion and splendor mountain beauty. The area offers more affordable housing and land than most any other area in Sevier County. From its location, it is somewhat difficult to travel to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge but is still within reason. Near the Jones Cove area is English Mountain which is one of the tallest mountains outside of the Smoky Mountains National Park. English Mountain has many roads/trails cut through the mountain and does not have a sense of "community" to the mountain. Jones Cove and the English Mountain area seems to be on the rise, however.

Some newer upper scale communities are being developed and offer seclusion, privacy, and views. The "Preserve at English Mountain", located off Wilhite Road, is one of the most luxury developments in all of Sevier County and will likely bring more upper end housing in the area. The Preserve at English Mountain offers absolutely spectacular views (some all the way into West Virginia and nearby Douglas Lake) as well as two helipads for the vacation home traveler. The development also consists of a community clubhouse, gated community, and first class infrastructure including underground utilities, water, and sewer (which is rare for a community in the area). The community also claims to be very concerned about conservation and preservation of the natural surroundings.
