From here you are able to search the entire Great Smoky Mountain MLS system for cabins, acreage, development lots, residential homes, commercial property, and more!
Please note there are several advanced search capabilities that helps in narrowing down the results for that perfect match.
-
At the very top there is a tab called "Map Results" it is essentially a Google Map of the location of where the properties are for sale. So if you prefer to be in a certain area or a location within a certain distance to a place this is an ideal feature. Please note the map locations aren't always correct - it is dependent upon the listing agent correctly entering it within our MLS system and sometimes it isn't done properly.
-
Also, within the "Search Form" tab you can search quickly by MLS#, subdivision, or street name. This is a quick search function if you already have an idea of what you are looking for.
-
Other important features within the "Search Form" tab include the ability to check the box (near the bottom) to include only short sales/foreclosures or log homes. This allows a search of only foreclosures or short sales. In the "log home" checkbox this helps "weed out" all of the residential properties if you are specifically searching for a cabin. Please note that not all Realtors accurately classify their listings correctly, so there are many properties that are in fact log cabins, but they aren't classified/marked properly. The same applies to foreclosures/short sales, but to a much lesser degree.
Once you have used this a couple times I hope you will find it to be a very effective and the most useful/flexible MLS search in our area. I have went to a lot of detail in order to try to make it "user friendly" yet still allowing for a powerful capability.
Please feel free to call if you have any questions or would like to schedule a showing of a listing.
